The Major Case Bureau is investigating a Bank Robbery that occurred on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 12:53 P.M. in Rockville Centre.
According to Robbery Squad detectives, a male black subject entered the Capital One Bank, located at 77 Lincoln Avenue, approached the teller and demanded money by threatening the use of a firearm, but no firearm seen. The 22 year old female victim complied and the subject fled on foot eastbound into the rear parking lot with an undetermined amount of US currency.
There were six (6) employees and three (3) customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery. There were no reported injuries.
The subject is described as a male black, 45-50 years of age, 5’9” to 5’10” tall, 160 lbs., wearing a dark colored hat, green long sleeve shirt, green pants, round framed eyeglasses with thick clear lenses, dark colored scarf around his neck and dark shoes.

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of Patrick G. Smith, 55, a homeless man for the above listed Bank Robbery. He is charged with Robbery 3rd degree Robbery and will be arraigned on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
