The Major Case Bureau reports the details of an arrest of a Farmingdale woman for Forgery that occurred from August 2015 until February 2016.
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, Katarina Tountas, 34, of 685 Conklin Street, while employed as a medical assistant for a Hicksville doctor, used a computer to forge electronic prescriptions of Percocet (a brand name form of Oxycodone) from August 2015 to February 2016. After an investigation it was discovered that the defendant transmitted six (6) different electronic prescriptions to a local pharmacy. Defendant Tountas was placed under arrest on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in Farmingdale without incident.
Defendant Tountas is being charged with 6 counts of Forgery 2nd Degree. She was arraigned on June 15, 2016 at First District Court, Hempstead.
