Major Case Bureau detectives of the Narcotics Vice Squad report the arrests of three individuals for narcotics related incidents.According to detectives, in response to a fatal heroin overdose that occurred in Malverne on Thursday, December 22, 2016 and a non-fatal heroin overdose that occurred on Friday, December 23, 2016, detectives were able to obtain information to conduct a “Buy” operation in Port Washington, Valley Stream and in Woodside, Queens. On Monday, December 26, 2016 at approximately 6:10 pm, at an undisclosed location in Port Washington, Jacklyn Seitz, 21, of 237 Doris Avenue, Franklin Square and Ata Korkut, 26, of the same address, possessed and sold a quantity of heroin to another for an agreed upon amount of money. At 8:50 pm, that same night, while at an undisclosed location in Valley Stream, Seitz, Korkut and Scott Moser, 28, of 460 Rockaway Avenue, Apt. 6, Valley Stream, possessed and sold a quantity of heroin to another for an agreed upon amount of money. At that time all three were placed under arrest without further incident.During the arrest processing information regarding the source of the heroin was obtained from the defendants and at 10:55 pm, that same night, at an undisclosed location in Woodside, Queens, a “Buy & Bust” operation was conducted resulting in the arrest of Jemaly Thelusma, 27, of 102-21 187th Street, Hollis, Queens. At the time of his arrest he was in possession of 130 glassine envelopes of heroin.Seitz and Korkut are both being charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and two (2) counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.Moser is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Criminal Facilitation 4th Degree.Thelusma is charged with Criminal possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.All defendants were arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 12/27/2016.
