The Fourth Squad reports the details of a Burglary which occurred on Sunday, January 01, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Woodmere.
According to detectives, a witness observed a male black wearing a green jacket in a Howard Avenue home. The witness notified police who responded and discovered a rear basement door had been kicked in. The suspect was no longer at scene. While officers were conducting the investigation they were notified of a male matching the description was attempting to enter a Redwood Drive residence through the front door. In this instance the home owner was home and called police. She opened the front door and observed the male walking westbound on Redwood Drive. While officers were at this location conducting an investigation a third call came in for a person kicking the side door of a Park Circle, Cedarhurst home. The homeowner was on the second floor. He went downstairs after hearing the suspect attempting to kick in a door and discovered his side door had been damaged. No proceeds were reported taken at this time.
