The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for Possession of a Forged Instrument that occurred on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 4:40 p.m. in Lynbrook.
According to Crimes Against Property detectives, Fifth Precinct officers observed the occupants of a parked 2008 BMW acting suspicious at Stauderman Avenue and Forest Avenue and conducted a vehicle and traffic stop. During the investigation the driver Bachir Mombeleur, 32, of 371 Hawthorne Street was found to be in possession of several re-encoded debit/credit cards and a credit card reader. The defendant was placed under arrest without incident.
Mombeleur is charged with four (4) counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Forgery Device. He will be arraigned on Sunday, January 15, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
