The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Hempstead man for an incident that occurred on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 5:05 A.M.
According to Gang Investigation Squad detectives, the male victim, 37, was visiting a friend outside 93 Terrace Avenue when Christopher Glass, 39, of 93 Terrace Avenue, exited his residence and withdrew a handgun and fired several shots at the victim, whom he had a prior dispute with, striking him three times. The victim fled the scene and was taken by private auto to a local hospital where he was admitted for treatment of his injuries.
Gang Investigation Squad detectives located the defendant on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 on Terrace Avenue where he was placed under arrest without incident. Also recovered from the defendant was a bag of crack cocaine.
Glass is being charged with Murder 2nd Degree (Attempt), Criminal Use Firearm 1st Degree, Criminal Possession Weapon 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree, Criminal Possession Weapon 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday February 8, 2017 in First District Court, Hempstead.
