Third Squad detectives report the details of two arrests for a burglary that occurred in Flower Hill on Friday, 05/19/17 at 2:50 A.M.
According to detectives, Arsati Urbina, 20, of 125 Lincoln Ave., Mineola, and Dylan Silber, 17, of 10 Orchard Meadow Rd., East Williston, entered an occupied residence on Hunters Lane, through an open garage door. The female resident, 61, heard voices inside the home and awoke her son, 28, who then yelled and chased the defendants out the door. The subjects fled the scene on foot with cash, jewelry and other assorted items.
No injuries were reported.
On Friday, 05/19/17, Third Precinct police officers located the two defendants on Charles St./Congress Ave. in Mineola, where they were placed under arrest at 4:53 A.M. The defendants were walking up and down multiple driveways and looking into cars with a flashlight. The proceeds from the burglary were recovered.
Urbina and Silber are each being charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession Stolen Property 5th Degree and Unlawful Possession Marijuana. Urbina is additionally being charged with Criminal Possession Stolen Property 4th Degree. The defendants were arraigned on Saturday, 05/20/17 in First District Court, Hempstead.
