The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of two men for Robbery that occurred on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 1:55 am.
According to detectives, a 24 year old male victim was using the ATM machine inside the Crown Fried Chicken located at 492 Hempstead Turnpike when defendants Terrence McBride, 19, of 42 Roquette Avenue, Elmont approached along with defendant Savonn M. Dangerfield, 20, of 23 Front Street Apt 4e, Hempstead asked what he was doing and then followed him outside to the corner of Elmont Road and Hempstead Turnpike. After demanding his money both defendants began punching and kicking the defendant the victim causing him to fall to the ground. They then went through the victim’s pockets and removed two I Phones, yellow gold chain, credit card, and an undetermined amount of US currency. The victim suffered swelling and pain to his left eye and face. Fifth Precinct police responded and met with the victim. After an investigation Fifth Precinct police officers were able to locate the defendant’s walking in the vicinity of Pelham Street and Louis Avenue and placed them into police custody without incident.
Both defendants are charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and Assault 2nd degree. Defendant McBride is charged additionally with Possession of Marijuana. They will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.
