The Marine Bureau reports the details of a water rescue that occurred in Woodmere on Sunday, August 06, 2017 at 3:00 P.M.
At approximately 3:38 P.M., the Fourth Precinct, Marine Bureau and Aviation received a call for a missing jet skier in the vicinity of the Woodmere Yacht Club. The missing jet skier was located by Helicopter 6 in Crooked Creek. The Jet Ski operator was safe and accounted for. The Jet Ski was removed from the marsh and safely secured to a dock in Woodmere. A paddle boarder, who attempted to help in the rescue had to be rescued by Helicopter 6 off of the marsh and was transported to the Woodmere Yacht Club.
No injuries were reported.
