The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Uniondale man for Fraud that occurred in East Meadow on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 4:10 am.
According to Robbery Squad detectives, Third Precinct Police observed the defendant operating a 2012 Nissan traveling south on Merchants Concourse without its headlights on. A Vehicle Stop was conducted in front of 1800 Privado Road at which time Third Precinct Police Officers detected a strong odor of Marijuana. Seated in the vehicle was the driver Andre D. Johnson, 23, of 561 Emerson Street, and his 21 year old female passenger. Both were removed from the vehicle and it was revealed that a clear bag containing a brown / green leafy substance belonged to Andre D. Johnson. Further investigation also revealed that Johnson was in possession of multiple counterfeit twenty dollar bills. Johnson was placed into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported.
Andre D. Johnson is charged with 4 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1nd Degree, 4 Counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, 2 counts of Possession of Marijuana, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 511.1, various violations of NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law. He will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Sunday, August 20, 2017.
