The First Squad reports the details of an arrest of 2men from New York City for Criminal Tampering that occurred onSeptember 1, 2017 at 2:35 A.M in Freeport.
According to detectives, aninvestigation was being conducted at the U.S Post Office at 132 W Merrick Rd byNassau County detectives and U.S Postal Inspectors. Two males identified asKelvin Garcia, 19, of 553 Kingsborough, Apt 1A Brooklyn, NY and Marcos Camue,18, of 886 E 241 St. Bronx, NY were observed using a “fishing” tool tosteal letters from a mailbox adjacent to the Freeport Post office. Bothdefendants were placed under arrest at scene and several letters stolen fromthe mailbox were recovered.
Defendant Garcia anddefendant Camue are both being charged with 4 Counts of Criminal Tampering 1stdegree, 4 Counts of Petit Larceny, Possession of Burglary Tools and UnlawfulPossession of Personal Identification 3rd degree. Both defendantswill be arraigned on September 1, 2017 at First District Court in Hempstead.
