The Seventh Squad reportsthe arrest of three Brooklyn men for Grand Larceny that occurred in Seaford onWednesday, October 18, 2017 at 2:20 am in Seaford.
According to detectives,Seventh Precinct Police responded to the CVS store located at 2250 Seaman NeckRoad for a call of three men entering and exiting the store buying gift cardswith counterfeit money. Upon police arrival three men matching a descriptionwere observed sitting in a parked 2013 BMW parked outside the store. After aninvestigation with the assistance of the Nassau County Robbery Squad Forgerydetectives it was revealed that the defendants Leon Samuels, 23 of 730 East 53rdStreet, Ackeem Samuels, 22, of 104 Linden Boulevard, Apt 2a, and Akeim Sturkey,26, of 781 East 52nd Street were in possession of multiple 50 and100 counterfeit dollar bills. The defendants used the money to purchaseassorted merchandise and gift cards. All three defendants were placed intopolice custody without incident.
Akeem Samuels is chargedwith Grand Larceny 4th Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession ofa Forged instrument 1st Degree. Leon Samuels and Akeim Sturkey areboth charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree and Criminal Possessionof a Forged Instrument 1st Degree. All three men will bearraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday, October 19, 2017.
