The Garden City Police Department reports the arrest of a man for multiple Burglaries that occurred between September 11, 2017 and December 2, 2017.
According to Detectives, defendant Ronnie Garland, 30, of 216 Carlton Drive Dewitt, NY did enter multiple buildings throughout the Adelphi University Campus located at 1 South Avenue Garden City and also a building at the C.W. Post Campus located at 720 Northern Boulevard Brookville without the authority to do so. He forcefully entered offices and removed laptops, books, a Nikon camera, LCP Projector, wallets, credit cards, US currency, keys, backpacks and other personal belongings. On Saturday, December 2, 2017 the defendant was observed on the Adelphi Campus, the witness contacted Public Safety and the Garden City Police Department. Defendant Ronnie Garland was apprehended without incident at 11:40am on Cambridge Avenue and Brompton Road Garden City. The investigation is ongoing.

Defendant Ronnie Garland is charged with five counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, one count of Attempted Burglary 3rd Degree, nine counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and one count of Possession of Burglar Tools. He will be arraigned on Sunday, December 03, 2017 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
