The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of a North Woodmere man for Burglary that occurred on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 2:27 pm in Hewlett.
According to detectives, the male victim, 25, was working out at Retro Fitness, located at 1225 Hewlett Plaza, when he observed his gym locker was broken. The victim noticed his belongings were moved, but nothing was missing.
After leaving the gym, the victim walked to his 2012 Volkswagen and discovered the glove compartment was open. An undisclosed amount of US currency was taken from the vehicle.
A subsequent investigation determined Sean Sevetar, 44, of 1063 Cedarhurst Street, entered into the victim’s locker and removed car keys. Sevetar took the keys and entered the victim’s vehicle. After removing an undisclosed amount of US currency, Sevetar again entered the gym and placed the keys back into the victim’s locker.
Defendant Sean Sevetar is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, two (2) counts of Petit Larceny and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at First District Court, Hempstead.
