Third Squad detectives report the arrest of a West Hempstead man for multiple larcenies and robberies that occurred throughout Nassau County beginning Tuesday, 11/28/17 through Friday, 12/08/17.
According to detectives, Michael Cuffey, 37, of 615 Hempstead Gardens Dr., entered Ulta located at 990 Old County Rd., Westbury, and TJ Maxx stores, throughout Nassau County, and removed merchandise without paying. On two occasions, the defendant pushed security guards and fled. The defendant was also wanted for a domestic disturbance.
Third Squad detectives located Cuffey on Monday, 12/18/17 at 4:30 P.M. on Wadleigh Ave., where he was placed under arrest. He is being charged with two counts of Robbery 3rd Degree, five counts of Petit Larceny, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, Menacing 3rd Degree and will be arraigned on Tuesday, 12/19/17, in First District Court, Hempstead.
