
The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Farmingville man for a Robbery that occurred on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 4:50 p.m. in East Garden City.
According to detectives, Daniel Charbonnier, 30, of 1310 Waverly Avenue, attempted to steal merchandise from the Bloomindale’s located at 630 Old Country Road. When he was confronted by detectives from Loss Prevention, the defendant got physical, injuring both of them. Both victims were treated at the scene. The defendant was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. During a search of the defendant, he was found to be in possession of cocaine. Subsequent investigation revealed that Charbonnier committed a prior larceny from Bloomindale’s on December 1, 2017.
Charbonnier is charged with two counts of Robbery 2nd Degree, two counts of Assault 2nd Degree, Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. He will be arraigned when medically practical.
