The Second Squad reports the arrest of four individuals for an Assault that occurred at 3:15 pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in Levittown.
According to Detectives, the four defendants knocked on the front door of a residence on Gardiners Avenue looking for the nineteen year old male victim regarding money. Defendant Kevin Chicas, 17, of 12 Mistletoe Lane Levittown drove all four to the scene. Defendants Abdul Muzaffar, 18, of 3315 N. Jerusalem Road Levittown and Joseph Dimperio, 17, of 337 Foch Boulevard Mineola stood holding baseball bats. Defendant Aiden McCaughey, 18, of 11 Mistletoe Lane Levittown banged on the door and opened the storm door; when the victim opened the interior door he stepped in where a struggle ensued. Defendant McCaughey pulled a knife from his pocket and the victim suffered injuries to three fingers and a laceration on his chest. When the victim’s father arrived, all four defendants fled the scene on foot. Defendant Chicas remained on scene and was arrested without incident. The victim was transported to Nassau University Medical Center where he was treated and released.
All four defendants are each charged with Gang Assault 1st Degree and Burglary 1st Degree. All arraigned in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
