The First Squad reports the details of a Grand Larceny that occurred on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in Rockville Centre.
According to detectives, the female victim parked her 2017 Hyundai Tuscan in the rear parking lot of 40 Maple Avenue. The victim returned to her vehicle approximately an hour later and discovered her vehicle’s rear passenger widow was shattered. A wallet, undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, credit cards, and a pocket book were removed from the vehicle.
A short time later, an unknown male and female entered CVS, located at 668 Sunrise Highway, Baldwin,and used one of the victim’s credit cards. The male is described as white, medium build, wearing a dark colored jacket, hat, blue jeans and black sneakers. The female is described as white, medium build, black jacket, gray pants and white sneakers.

The investigation revealed a Nissan, four door sedan, blue/gray in color, was observed in the vicinity of each location.

The First Squad reports the arrest of Dawn Goldstein, 29, of 483 Meacham Avenue, Elmont and Richard Alvarez, 37, of 816 N. Corona Avenue, Valley Stream in connection with the above incidents.
Both defendants were charged with 3 counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Criminal Possession Stolen Property 4th Degree, 2 counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree and 2 counts of Criminal Mischief 4th Degree. Alvarez was charged with an additional count of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. Goldstein was previously arraigned on February 3, 2018 in First District Court. Alvarez will be arraigned in First District Court on February 6,2018.
