The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Free port man for Grand Larceny that occurred on Thursday, March 08, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in Free port.
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, Free port Police received a phone call stating an 86 year old victim was told his son had been arrested. The victim was directed to send an undisclosed amount of US currency for bail money to 384 Atlantic Avenue Apt. B,Free port.
Detectives responded to the above address and observed a UPS employee dropping off a package containing the bail money to an unknown male. Upon further investigation, it was determined Justin Est off, 21, of 384 Atlantic Avenue Apt. B, was the individual attempting to defraud the victim. The Defendant was placed under arrest without incident and found to be in possession of two fraudulent driver’s licenses.
Defendant Est off is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, Possession of a Forged Instrument 2ndDegree (2 counts), Grand Larceny 3rd Degree (Attempt) and Defraud 1stDegree. He will be arraigned on Friday, March 09, 2018 in First District Court, Hempstead.
