County Executive Laura Curran and Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick J. Ryder are pleased to announce The Nassau County Police Hispanic Society and The Nassau County Association of Women Police have come together for the below community event:
A Dream Prom Boutique
Proms are an expense that many families cannot afford, but many high school seniors look forward to. The Police Associations were able to collect dresses, bags, shoes, new makeup, suits, shirts and ties. The young men and women will go from rack to table picking items they need to enjoy the prom without the added expense for their parents. The estimated value of donations is valued at over $140,000.
The Miss Latina Long Island Pageant Contestants will be volunteering as personal shopping assistants to those coming in to ‘shop’. There will be an area for proper fittings and they can be sent home with a bag full of ‘dreams come true’.
