The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Freeport man at 12:10 pm on Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Freeport.
The Long Island Heroin Task Force in conjunction with the Freeport Police Department was conducting a narcotics investigation involving several overdoses in the Freeport/Baldwin area over the past few weeks. During the investigation, defendant Robert Williams, 56, of 34 Stevens Street Freeport was found to be in possession of approximately sixty-five grams of alleged heroin and a quantity of Methadone. He was arrested without incident on N. Long Beach Avenue, Freeport. At approximately 2:45 pm a consent search of the defendant’s residence yielded the following recovered evidence: alleged heroin, undetermined amount of US currency, two loaded .380 caliber handguns, a loaded 12 gauge shotgun, ammunition, packing materials, scales and a money counting machine.

Defendant Robert Williams is charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He will be arraigned on Friday, June 08, 2018 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
