Second Squad detectives report the arrest of a Hempstead woman for Grand Larceny that occurred on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 2:15 pm in Levittown.
According to detectives, the loss prevention manager of Walmart located at 3335 Hempstead Turnpike, was notified by its corporate office about discrepancies in New York State lottery tickets sales. The inconsistencies occurred between January 24, 2018 and March 20, 2018.
A subsequent investigation was conducted and it was determined Latricia Hawkins, 46, of 93 Surrey Lane was responsible for the shortage. Hawkins printed lottery tickets in excess of $10,000 dollars and did not pay for them. She was arrested without incident.
Defendant Hawkins was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree. She was arraigned on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
