The First Squad reports the arrest of two Roosevelt men and one homeless man for an incident that occurred on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 3:08 a.m. in Roosevelt.
According to detectives, a 33 year old male victim was walking southbound on Nassau Road at East Centennial Avenue. He was approached by Charles Fells, 44, of 37 Allers Boulevard, Roosevelt, who demanded money from the victim. Fells displayed a knife and slashed the victim causing a laceration to his left hand. The victim fled on foot and later returned to scene with three (3) other individuals when they were confronted by Lameek Faucett, 26, who is homeless, and Shapeace Goodwine, 26, of 43 John Street, Roosevelt. Faucett punched one of the individuals, who suffered no injuries and refused medical attention. Goodwine slashed the victim in the face, neck, arm and torso causing lacerations. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Subsequent investigation, Lameek Faucett was arrested on July 28, 2018 and charged with Robbery 1st Degree (Attempt), Robbery 2nd Degree (Attempt), Assault 2nd Degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree and several Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was arraigned on July 29, 2018 in First District Court. Shapeace Goodwine was arrested on August 2, 2018 and charged with two (2) counts of Assault 1st Degree, two (2) counts of Assault 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. He was arraigned on August 3, 2018 in First District Court. Charles Fells was arrested on August 4, 2018 and is charged with Robbery 1st Degree (Attempt), Robbery 2nd Degree (Attempt), two (2) counts of Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree and Resisting Arrest. He will be arraigned on Sunday, August 5, 2018 in First District Court.
