The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for a Robbery which occurred on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 12:08 a.m. in Stewart Manor.
According to detectives, Third Precinct Officers responded to 600 Tulip Avenue for a robbery in progress assignment. A male victim, 39, was approached by a male white armed with a handgun who demanded his money. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. While investigating the incident, officers observed James Caffrey, 22, of 32-42 203rd Street, Bayside walking northbound on Covert Avenue. He was identified as the suspect from the robbery and placed under arrest. A pellet gun was recovered. During the investigation Caffrey was identified as the suspect in a robbery which occurred on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 on Tulip Avenue in Elmont.
Caffrey is charged with two counts of Robbery 2nd degree. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
