


Major Case Bureau detectives from the Robbery Squad are investigating an incident that occurred on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 9:10 am in Uniondale.
According to detectives, three male Hispanics, two of whom were armed with handguns, forced open a side door to a Harrison Street residence. Once in the home, a forty year old female homeowner and three juveniles were ordered into a second story bedroom. The subjects, who then removed an undisclosed amount of money, jewelry and a safe, then fled the home onto Harrison Street.
The subjects were all dressed in black hooded sweatshirts, black face masks and gloves.
No injuries were reported as a result of this robbery and the investigation continues.

The following three individuals have been arrested in connection with the above robbery:
Steven Bonilla, 35, of 325 Maplegrove Avenue, Uniondale, was arrested on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. He is charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Burglary 1st Degree. He was arraigned on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
Oscar Velasquez, 26, of 228 Randall Avenue, Freeport, was arrested on Thursday, September 13, 2018. He is charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and various VTL violations. He was arraigned on Friday, September 14, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
Carlos Veliz, 25, of 41 W. Columbia St., Hempstead, was arrested on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. He is charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree and various VTL violations. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
