The Burglary Pattern Squad of the Major Case Bureau reports the Arrest of three men for multiple Burglaries that occurred between May 12, 2018 and September 21, 2018 at numerous locations.
According to detectives, the subjects entered residences through rear doors or windows and removed jewelry, currency and other items. They did so at the following locations on the following dates:
-May 12, 2018 at 8:37 p.m. - 24 Laurel Ln., Old Westbury
-May 12, 2018 at 9:19 p.m. - 33 Kensington Circle, Manhasset
-May 18, 2018 at 8:28 p.m. - 5 Laurel Ln., Old Westbury
-June 1, 2018 at 8:30 p.m. - 2 Stone Hill Dr., Manhasset
-June 23, 2018 at 8:31 p.m. - 33 Holiday Pond Rd., Woodbury
-August 10, 2018 at 9:00 p.m. - 24 Stone Hill Dr., Manhasset
-September 21, 2018 at 8:49 p.m. - 8 Annette Pl., Jericho
Extensive investigation by the Burglary Pattern team as well as the Electronics Squad and Asset Forfeiture Intelligence Unit led to the arrest of the following individuals:
Defendant Brayan Castano, 30, of 84-26 57 Rd., Queens. He is charged with seven counts of Burglary 2nd Degree.
Defendant Andres Zapata, 20, of 106-02 St. Northern Blvd., Queens. He is charged with seven counts of Burglary 2nd Degree.
Defendant Oscar Vera, 27, of 602 Westhold Blvd., San Bernadino California. He is charged with 1 count of Burglary 2nd Degree.
All three defendants were arraigned on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
