The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Hempstead man for an incident that occurred on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 9:15 p.m. in East Meadow.
According to detectives, police observed a 2005 Honda traveling westbound on Hempstead Turnpike. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle for violating multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The vehicle refused to stop. Officers observed the front passenger screaming, crying and waving her arms in distress. The subject went through a steady red light on Uniondale Avenue and turned onto Front Street where he lost control of the vehicle and struck two (2) vehicles traveling eastbound.
Keith Addison, 54, of 115 Greenwich Street, was placed under arrest without incident. The defendant, along with the operator of one of the vehicle’s he struck, was transported to an area hospital due to a complaint of leg and back pain.
The defendant, Keith Addison, is charged with Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree, Violation of Probation for an unrelated incident and several Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He will be arraigned when medically practical.
