The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of two Massapequa males for Robbery that occurred in Massapequa on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 6:40 pm.
According to detectives, a 15 year old male defendant arranged through a social media app to purchase an I phone that a 26 year old male victim was selling. The defendant’s 16 year old brother met the victim outside in the vicinity of 691 Clocks Boulevard. After inspecting the phone the 16 year old defendant fled on foot towards Ellen Street with the phone and the victim chasing him. As the victim got close, the defendant displayed a black knife. The victim retreated back to his car and called Seventh Precinct police.
On Friday, October 5, 2018 a subsequent investigation led detectives to the defendant’s Clocks Boulevard residence where the phone was found in possession of the 16 year old. Both were placed into police custody without incident. The knife was not recovered. There were no injuries reported.
16 year old defendant is charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He was arraigned on Saturday, October, 6, 2018 in the Youth Division at First District Court in Hempstead. The 15 year old is charged with Conspiracy 4th Degree. He was issued an an Appearance ticket returnable on Monday, October 15, 2018 in Family Court, 1200 Old Country Road, Westbury.
