The Third Squad reports thearrest of 3 males for an incident that occurred on Saturday, October 13, 2018at 10:08 p.m. in Hempstead.
According to detectives,while on routine patrol, Hempstead Police observed three (3) males spraypainting the exterior walls of 40 Main Street, a Nassau County governmentbuilding. Cordaro Jones, 26, of 145 Terrace Avenue, Hempstead, MichaelGentile, 19, of Westgate Drive, Bohemia and a third male, who is a juvenile,were arrested without incident.
Further investigationrevealed multiple photographs and videos of various unknown locations in whichproperty was damaged and defaced with spray paint, markers and stickers withthe words “MAPE”, “1999” and “WHITEY”. It was also determined that on August 9,2018 defendant Cordaro Jones used black paint to mark the rear left quarterpanel of a marked Nassau County Police vehicle while parked outside of FirstDistrict Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
Defendants Cordaro Jones andMichael Gentile are charged with Criminal Mischief 3RD Degree. Jones was arraigned on Sunday, October 14, 2018 in First District Court inHempstead. Defendant Gentile was released on an Appearance Ticket,returnable to First District in Hempstead and the juvenile was released on aFamily Court Appearance Ticket.
