Major Case Bureau detectives are investigating a Bank Robbery that occurred on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 8:31 am in East Norwich.
According to detectives, two male blacks entered Chase bank, 6311 Northern Blvd. with their faces covered by masks. After both withdrew handguns, three bank employees were ordered to the floor. Subject 1, who was described as being 6’2”-6’4” tall, vaulted the counter area and demanded that the bank vault be opened.
Subject 2, who was described as being 5’9”-5’10” tall, forced 3 customers who entered the bank into the kitchen area.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money from the vault, the 3 employees were also ordered to the kitchen area where the staff had their hands “zip tied” behind their backs.
The subjects then fled the bank in an unknown direction.
No injuries were reported as a result of the Robbery.
