The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of an Old Brookville man for Petit Larcenies that occurred on February 17, 2017 and March 28, 2017 in Oceanside.
According to detectives, Neil Lamorte, 55, of 1257 Cedar Swamp Road, was found to be responsible for the following Petit Larcenies:
-February 17, 2017-Lawrence Avenue -A chandelier (valued at an undetermined amount of US currency).
-March 28, 2017-Lincoln Avenue-Two (2) Kate Spade handbags (valued at $280 US currency).
The subject parked his white Ford Edge, New York State registration HMK7516, across from the houses, walked to the front door and grabbed the packages. He then placed the packages in his vehicle and drove away.
On Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 10:15 p.m., Lamorte was placed under arrest without incident at his home.
The defendant, Neil Lamorte, is charged with two (2) counts of Petit Larceny. He was issued an Appearance ticket and will be arraigned on February 7, 2019 in First District Court, Hempstead.
