The Fifth Squad reports the details of an unusual incident that occurred on January 5, 2019 at approximately 5:00 P.M. in Valley Stream and reported to police on January 6, 2019.
According to detectives, a male suspect while seated on a bench in a common area of the Green Acres Mall grabbed an unknown male child’s hand and attempted to walk away from the area with the child. The suspect was stopped by the child’s family member after which the suspect walked away.
The suspect is described as a male white approximately 35 years of age, 5’5’’ tall, 140 lbs and wearing a dark green coat, red/white pants and black boots.
The Fifth Squad is attempting to locate and identify the suspect. Detectives request anyone with information regarding this incident to call the Crime Stoppers 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous.
