First Squad detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 7:57 p.m. in Bellmore.According to detectives, a male victim, 59, was working at AT&T, located at 1923 Bellmore Avenue, when he was approached by an unknown male suspect. The suspect had a black handgun in his right hand and forced the victim into a backroom where he tied the victim’s wrists and ankles together. The suspect removed personal property from the victim, including his car keys. After struggling to gain access to the safe the suspect struck the victim in the head with his handgun. The suspect was finally able to gain access to the safe and removed over $25,000 worth of merchandise. The suspect left the store and the victim was able to free himself shortly after. The suspect fled the scene in the victim’s car heading northbound on Bellmore Avenue. The suspect is described as a male black, 6’2” tall, wearing all black with a black ski mask. The victim was treated at the scene for a laceration to his head.
