The Second Squad reports the Arrests of three persons for Attempted Robbery which occurred on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 5:25 P.M. in Hicksville.
According to detectives, the defendants Kiera White, 24, of Jamaica, Jeremy Morris, 27, of Brooklyn and Jeremy Mayers, 21 of Brooklyn entered the Walgreens on 210 S Broadway in Hicksville. They took various merchandise from the shelves and placed it in a bag and in their pockets. A 30 year old male store employee noticed them and took his cell phone out to call police. The defendants attempted to take the cell phone away from the employee but were unable to. They pushed the victim and made their way out of the store without attempting to pay for the merchandise. The defendants were then observed entering into a 2018 Dodge heading west onto old country road. No injuries reported.
Later on that night NYPD officers who were notified about the attempted robbery observed the defendants driving the 2018 Dodge and stopped them on 222nd Street in Queens. Nassau Police responded and after an investigation they were all placed into police custody.
A subsequent investigation later determined that the defendants were also responsible for a Larceny of a CVS on 55 Cold Spring Rd, Syosset that occurred earlier on the same day.
Defendants Keira White, Jeremy Morris and Jeremy Mayers are all charged with Attempted Robbery 2nd Degree and two charges of Grand Larceny 4th Degree. All of the defendants were arraigned on Monday, February 4, 2019 at First District Court, Hempstead.
