
The Third Squad reports the Arrest of a person for Assault on an Officer that occurred on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 1:25 P.M. in East Garden City.
According to Detectives, defendant Charisma McMillan, 29, of 38 Bush St, Brooklyn, did remove merchandise valued at approximately $1,100 US currency from Victoria’s Secret located at 630 Old Country Road in East Garden City. Officers located Charisma McMillan and during their investigation she sprayed pepper spray at both officers. At that time officers attempted to place Charisma McMillan under arrest; she refused officers lawful orders to place her hands behind her back, she began kicking, biting, spitting and punching at officers. After a brief struggle, officers were able to place Charisma McMillan into custody. Officers were transported to a local hospital where they are treated for their injuries and released.
Defendant Charisma McMillan is charged with two counts of Assault with Intent to Cause Physical Injury to a Police Officer, Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration with a Spray Device, Resisting Arrest, False Personation and Possession of Burglar Tools. Defendant Charisma McMillan was arraigned on Saturday, February 09, 2019 at First District Court, 99 Main St. Hempstead.
