WRESTLING TAKES DOWN DRUGS
County Executive Laura Curran, Police Commissioner Patrick J. Ryder, the Friends of Long Island Wrestling and the Nassau County Police Foundation announce its’ First Annual Wrestling Takes Down Drugs Day.
In order to help address the growing opioid and drug epidemic that is sweeping the country, The Friends of Long Island Wrestling has partnered with the Nassau County Police Department and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame to introduce the Wrestling Takes Down Drugs (WTDD) program, sponsored by the Nassau County Police Foundation, which benefits local wrestling programs in coordination with local drug prevention and counseling programs in order to strengthen the communities in which we live.
Join us as we raise awareness of the opioid and drug epidemic that is devastating our communities.
