
The Second Squad reports the Arrest of a Queens Village woman for Grand Larceny that occurred on Tuesday, March 05, 2019 at 1:20 p.m. in Plainview.
According to detectives, a male victim, 79, was called by an unknown male claiming the victim had won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. He was instructed to make multiple deposits on multiple dates totaling more than $147,000. It was explained to the victim that the money was to pay for fees and taxes related to the sweepstakes win.
On March 5, 2019, the victim was again contacted and instructed to take out $25,000 and have it delivered to an address in Queens Village. The investigation led to the arrest of Lenkeisha Bolton, 28, of 225-32 113th Ave., Queens Village.
Defendant Bolton is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree (Attempt), Conspiracy 5th Degree and Criminal Facilitation 4th Degree. She was arraigned on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at First District Court, Hempstead.
Detectives report the arrest of a second defendant, Dimitri Blanchard, 26, on March 7, 2019, of 2366 Harrison Avenue, Baldwin for his participation in connection with the above incident.
Blanchard is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, Criminal Facilitation 4th Degree and Conspiracy 5th Degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 3/8/2019.
