
The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Lakeview man on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 9:30 p.m. in Lakeview.
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, as part of Operation Natalie, Nassau County’s War Against Opioids, detectives were investigating a fatal and non-fatal overdose from Lakeview. The investigation led detectives to the parking lot of 1017 Woodfield Road where they arrested the defendant, Lawrence Yearling, 28, of 933 Orlando Avenue. The defendant Yearling is directly linked to the fatal and non-fatal overdoses and was in possession of 27 white glassine envelopes stamped with “Get Rich or Die Tryin” believed to contain Heroin and 10.5 Grams of Crack Cocaine at the time of his arrest. The stamped envelopes are identical to the ones found on the fatal and non-fatal overdoses.
Defendant Lawrence Yearling is charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, March 09, 2019 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
The Nassau County Police Department reminds the public that as part of Operation Natalie and our Multi Prong Approach of Education, Awareness, Enforcement, Treatment, Diversion and After Care Visits, we will be continuing with our zero tolerance response to any and all illegal drug activity within the County.
