

The First Squad reports the arrest of a North Merrick couple for Narcotics that occurred on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 6:15 P.M in North Merrick.
According to Detectives, First Precinct Police with the assistance of the Nassau County Probation Department conducted a night watch probation check at a North Merrick residence located at 1285 Meadowbrook road. While inside the residence conducting a lawful search of the defendants, Kenneth Riggio 59, Faith Riggio 53, officers recovered in excess of 200 Oxycodone tablets, numerous Xanax tablets, eight clear bags containing a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine, and a switchblade knife. Both defendants were placed into Police custody. A further search of the home revealed large amounts of U.S currency and a brown/tan powdery substance believed to be heroin.
Kenneth Riggio is charged with 3 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree with intent to sell, 1 count of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, 11 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree. Faith Riggio is charged with 1 count of criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th degree. Both defendants will be arraigned Thursday March 14th 2019 at First District Court in Hempstead.
