
The Third Squad detectives report the arrest of a Flushing man for Criminal Impersonation that occurred on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in Great Neck.
According to detectives, the defendant Yunkai Chen, 24, of 144-70 41st Avenue, was operating a white Honda Accord when he was involved in a disturbance with a male victim, 34, while driving on Northern Boulevard. As the victim stopped his car on Belmont Road, the defendant approached the victim’s car and stated “I am a police officer” and ordered the victim out of his car. A witness intervened and the defendant fled southbound on Belmont Road. After an investigation the defendant was located and placed under arrest without further incident.
The defendant, Yunkai Chen is charged with Criminal Impersonation 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
