The Homicide Squad reports the details of a fatal vehicular accident that occurred on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 8:05 A.M. in Elmont.

According to detectives, a male driver pulled up to the Empire Car Wash located at 255 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont and drove up to the rear entrance. When attempting to enter, the vehicle suddenly accelerated striking a male employee against a wall. The victim was transported by Police Ambulance to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. No criminality is believed to have occurred at this time.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending family notifications. Investigation is ongoing.
