The Third Squad reports the arrest of two individuals for a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 12:20 A.M. in East Williston.
According to Detectives, the male victim, 50, was waiting in his vehicle at the intersection of Downing Road/Roslyn Road for defendant, Ariana Meadows, 26, of East Williston. She arrived and entered the vehicle through the front passenger side, a few minutes later, a male unknown to the victim, defendant Joseph Santalucia, 26, of East Williston, entered into the rear of the vehicle and demanded that the victim drive off. Defendant Joseph Santalucia forced the victim to drop off defendant Ariana Meadows at Latham Lane. Defendant Joseph Santalucia placed an unknown object to the victims head, placing him in fear for his life. They drove onto Congress Avenue, defendant Joseph Santalucia demanded the victim’s money, the victim complied. Defendant Joseph Santalucia then exited the vehicle and fled on foot. No injuries were reported at scene. On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, both defendants were arrested without incident at their residence in East Williston.
Defendant Joseph Santalucia is charged with Robbery 1st degree, Robbery 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree. Defendant Ariana Meadows is charged with Robbery 1st degree and Robbery 2nd degree. Both defendants will be arraigned on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
