The Major Case Bureau reports an arrest for Attempted Murder on Wednesday, December 09, 2015.
According to Special Investigations Squad detectives, on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 11:44 P.M., a male victim, 46 years of age, was sitting in a car in front of 105 Terrace Avenue in Hempstead. Marlon Jones, 37, of 100 Terrace Ave, Hempstead approached the vehicle and discharged a weapon 14 times at close range, striking the vehicle the victim was sitting in, before fleeing the scene on foot. On Wednesday, December 09, 2105 at 9:05 A.M. detectives responded to Federal Correctional Institution Schuylkill, Minersville, PA, where the defendant is incarcerated and transported him to Nassau County for arrest processing.
Jones is charged with Murder 2nd degree (Attempt), Assault 1st degree (Attempt), two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, Reckless Endangerment 1st degree and Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree. He was arraigned on Wednesday, December 09, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
