County Executive Laura Curran and Police Commissioner Patrick J. Ryder will hold a solemn memorial ceremony for all deceased members of the Department and those officers who made the Supreme Sacrifice on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the Nassau County Police Memorial located on the front lawn of Police Headquarters, 1490 Franklin Avenue, Mineola.
Floral tributes will be placed at the memorial honoring all deceased members and an unveiling and dedication of new bronze plaques honoring:
Police Officer Peter F. Curran
Police Officer James V. Quinn
Both Officers passed away from their 9/11 related illnesses and will be added to the Memorial Wall.
The ceremony will close with the reading of the names of the Forty (40) Nassau County Police Officers who have made the Supreme Sacrifice.
The Police Pipe Band, Ceremonial Unit and Color Guard will participate along with other department members and dignitaries.

There will be a staging area designated for all media.
