The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Auto Accident involving a Pedestrian that occurred on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 7:10 a.m. in Syosset.
According to detectives, a male driver operating an ambulette stopped on the shoulder southbound of Route 135, south of Jericho Turnpike and was conversing with the operator of a second vehicle when a third vehicle sideswiped both vehicles and the ambulette driver. The male victim was pronounced at scene. The operator of the third vehicle remained at scene. The investigation is ongoing.

The Homicide Squad reports the above victim has been identified as Herman Hanson, 74, of Hempstead.
