Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick J. Ryder will present certificates of completion to 69 police graduates at a ceremony tonight, Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 6:00 PM at Chaminade High School, 340 Jackson Ave., Mineola.
The recruits completed 7 months of intense basic training at the Nassau County Police Academy and of the 69 graduating, 59 are members of the Nassau County Police Department, 3 are graduating to Glen Cove Police Department, 2 are graduating to Long Beach Police Department, 1 is graduating to Floral Park Police Department, 1 is graduating to Garden City Police Department, 1 is graduating to Port Washington, 1 is graduating to Old Brookville Police Department and 1 is graduating to SUNY Old Westbury Police Department. I addition to the recruits, we also have 4 Police Medics graduating
Media is invited and asked to arrive by 5:30 pm and check in with a member of the NCPD Public Information Office. Recruits and police personnel will be available for interviews.
