
The Nassau County Police Department reports the details of a female in need of medical assistance at 7:10am on Friday, August 2, 2019 in Mineola.
According to Police, Angelina Yan of Mineola, was nine months pregnant and went into labor. Her husband, father to be, Christopher Lam called 911 for assistance realizing his wife would not make it to the hospital to deliver the baby. Police Officers Elizabeth King, Luigi Viola and Steven Kovacs responded to the residence and found the mother on the kitchen floor. The Officers delivered a healthy baby girl, Madison Olivia Lam, born at 7:22am weighing 5.5 lbs.. Providing necessary medical care to the mom and baby, both were transported to Winthrop Hospital by Paramedics Chris Abed from Ambulance Corp. and Ian Fried from the Emergency Ambulance Service. The family is happy and healthy.
