The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of three (3) individuals for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property that occurred on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 12:25 A.M. in Elmont.
According to detectives, Officers while on routine patrol were notified by a license plate reader located in their RMP of a stolen vehicle. The officers identified the vehicle, 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike and Elmont Road. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen and the operator was placed under arrest without incident.
During the course of a thorough investigation it was determined that another vehicle, 2010 Honda Accord, had also been stolen in connection with the first vehicle. The Honda Accord was located in Mineola.
The following subjects were arrested:
- -Thomas Allen Lauri, 20, 319 Latham Road, Mineola (operator of Jeep Grand Cherokee)
- -Justin Lord-Signore, 17, 183 Lincoln Avenue, Mineola (operator of Honda Accord)
- -Jorge Santizo-Lanuza, 20, 217 Prospect Avenue, Cedarhurst (passenger of Honda Accord)
Defendants Allen, Santizio-Lanuza and Lord-Signore are charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree and Unauthorized Use of A Vehicle 3rd Degree. Defendant Allen is also charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree. They will all be arraigned on Friday, August 16th, 2019 at First District Court, Hempstead.
