Second Squad detectives report the arrest of a Orlando, Florida man for an incident that occurred Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 11:44 am in Jericho.
According to detectives, James Gibson, 39, of 9744 Nona Crest Drive, while at Bespoke Motor Group, 115 South Service Road, using fraudulent forms of identification, attempted to pick up a 2015 Bentley valued at $135,000 that was previously purchased through a broker via a “Sign & Drive” agreement. After becoming suspicious about his identity the company president called police. Upon police arrival Gibson was found to be in possession of a fraudulent New Jersey license in the name of the intended buyer, a fraudulent American Express credit card and a fraudulent Florida driver’s license.
Gibson is charged with Attempted Grand Larceny 2nd Degree, Forgery 2nd Degree, three (3) counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Falsifying Business Records 1st Degree and two (2) counts of Identity Theft 1st Degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 8/23/2019.
