Nassau County Police report the details of an arrest for Attempted Murder that occurred on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. in Roosevelt.
According to police, First Precinct patrol officers responded for a call of shots fired at Roosevelt Middle School, located at 335 East Clinton Avenue. Upon arrival police were directed to a nearby house where they were told the suspect had fled. Emergency Services and Bureau of Special Operations responded and after a thorough investigation placed Lennox London, 36, of 46 Bauer Avenue, Roosevelt under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported. An execution of a search warrant on the defendant’s home resulted in the recovery of a semi-automatic handgun.
Defendant Lennox London is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at First District Court, Main Street, in Hempstead.
